One of the coolest things about being a “Faffer” is that you get welcomed into a pool of some of the most amazingly creative and generous people in
our business the world. And Faffy’s one lucky mammal to have voice over friends who are so wonderful that they produce inventive, high quality, kickin’ promotional media for FaffCon, and now Faff Camp! (Thank you all!)
One of our besties is Cliff Zellman, Director of Audio Production at Radio Vision and founder of the very famous and prestigious Dallas Voice Acting Meet-up Group. Though Cliff doesn’t look at day over 35, he’s been in audio production for over 30 years–and still going strong.
So, he’s clearly wicked smart (well, not like dolphin-smart; let’s not get carried away. But he’s doing great for a human). And he knows a thing or too about career longevity in this crazy biz.
Oh, and he’s talented, too.
Lest you think you have to take Faffy’s word (but why wouldn’t you?) take a listen to this masterful piece of audio art (it’s too amazing to call it audio production) that Cliff spontaneously created out of his enthusiasm for Faff Camp. (I’ve been listening to it all day…it rocks!)
Cool, isn’t it?
I hope you’ll share it with your friends (that’s why they call it “social” media, after all!) And in case you didn’t know, the esteemed Mr. Zellman will be a presenter at Faff Camp May 3-5, 2013 (Cinco de Mayo weekend, baby!) in Charlotte, NC. He’s a very popular FaffCon presenter whose sessions always get great reviews. Here’s what people are saying about Cliff:
When I first met Cliff Zellman, organizer of the Dallas Voice Acting Meet Up Group, at Faffcon 2 in Atlanta, he brought scripts into our session, had us read them over quickly, then had us up to the mic. Cliff gave very honest and sincere analysis of our reads. Very honest. Very sincere. No sugar-coating. No sunshine up your backside. ~ Derek Chappell
I’m not going to go on and on here about Cliff’s impressive resumé. Suffice it to say he’s among the best of the best of the best audio engineers, producers and directors across this fine land. Cliff has encouraged and coached me professionally in my VO walk. He’s active in the efforts of World-Voices.org to launch technical standards for voice actors.~ Dave Courvoisier
So, you can see why we’re sooooo excited! There you go! Getting to listen to, learn from, and talk with Cliff Zellman about voice-over and your personal voiceover career: yet another compelling reason to register for Faff Camp! And by the way, the rest of the content schedule is being finalized as we speak and we’ll be putting the rest up over the next couple of days. (Faffy loves you, Cliff!)
